Hybrid Equivalent Circuit/Finite Element/Boundary Element Modeling for Effective Analysis of an Acoustic Transducer Array with Flexible Surrounding Structures

Transducer arrays are commonly analyzed by the finite element method (FEM) with high accuracy, but it is costly, particularly when having flexible surrounding structures. In this study, we developed an equivalent circuit (EC)-based model of array transducers structures for effective analysis. The impedance matrix was first constructed coupling electrical, mechanical impedance, and acoustic radiation obtained EC element-boundary (FE-BE) method. transfer far-field pressure to transducer response then FE-BE method, finally sound external field obtained. To verify results proposed were compared those conventional FEM. evaluate efficiency reduction in degrees freedom (DOFs) from FEM analysis investigated. simulation highly accurate efficient. expected be useful conceptual design.
